Ashley Grayson, a TikTok scammer, was found guilty of a murder-for-hire plan and given a 120-month sentence in a federal prison. Grayson was sentenced on October 31, a Thursday.
Since she is expecting her third kid and will shortly give birth, she was allocated to a federal medical institution.
Reasons behind Ashley Grayson’s imprisonment
The federal indictment was submitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee on June 29, according to Atlanta Black Star. Ashley and Joshua Grayson allegedly contacted someone and bribed them to kill someone else, according to the lawsuit.
The Graysons’ content and online credit repair businesses have earned them a reputation on social media. After allegedly winning $1 million in a lawsuit, Ashley Grayson became well-known on the internet. However, Ashley Grayson asserted that she made the money after starting her internet companies.
Grayson flaunted her opulent lifestyle on Facebook and Instagram. In one video, R&B artist Monica sang at her proposal to Joshua Grayson, which was held on a hired yacht.
The couple gained a sizable social media following when the event’s videos and images went viral.
A year following their engagement, there were claims that Grayson boasted that she was the best friend of singer Monica and drastically overstated her own riches.
In 2022, Ashley Grayson sued financial instructor Derricka Harwell for defamation, claiming that Harwell’s statement under one of Grayson’s Facebook posts was “false, defamatory, and injurious.”
Harwell’s tweet “permanently damaged” Grayson’s personal reputation “online and around the world,” according to the lawsuit, and led to the perception that Grayson “stalked and harassed” Harwell.
