Destiny Harris Was Arrested for PPP and Unemployment Fraud
Destiny Harris become charged with unlawfully acquiring $19,000 in PPP funding and unemployment fraud for buying unemployment at the same time as operating a complete-time job, consistent with an arrest warrant.
Harris was taken aback when six policemen knocked on her house and asked her to go outside. She initially disputed that she was Destiny Harris. After proving her identity, she requested the police if she might give her mother a call.
Harris started crying as she told her worried mother that she had no idea why the police were there.
Investigators informed Harris that although they had written to her, she had not shown up for the planned interviews.
Additionally, she declined to answer calls from a number that was registered in her name.
Harris was able to call her work and bid her children farewell thanks to the incredibly kind police.
Ahead of the November election, the Justice Department has increased its attempts to bring charges against PPP fraudsters . Harris is one of four individuals recently arrested by Delray Beach police for PPP fraud.
Three people applied for unemployment benefits to which they were not eligible, and one person was discovered to have been the victim of identity fraud.
