The 75-year-old Chicago actor and his 41-year-old wife, whom he married in 2018, are reportedly heading to Alejandra’s native Spain and packing up their Connecticut house.
According to reports, Richard and Alejandra, together with their two young sons, are moving to Madrid, the capital.
The publicist and her actor husband, who is also the father of his 24-year-old son, Homer, will probably miss their family life on the farm, even though Alejandra, who is already a mother to her 11-year-old son, Albert, whom she welcomed during her first marriage to Govind Friedland, is undoubtedly looking forward to reconnecting with her Spanish heritage.
The singer Paul Simon had owned the magnificent 1938 estate in New Canaan, Connecticut, where Richard Gere and Alejandra currently reside.
After six years of residence, the couple is eager to establish a permanent home in Madrid. Additionally, the Gere estate has a sizable farm where they have been rearing goats and horses. Additionally, the pair has been cultivating their own produce.
The couple is reportedly moving into a home valued at approximately €11 million. According to reports, the property has a heated pool, a wine cellar, a three-story house, and more than 10,000 square meters of land.
“[Alejandra] was very generous in giving me six years living in my world, so it’s only fair that I give her at least another six years living in hers,” the Pretty Woman star said in a recent interview with Vanity Fair of their significant move to Europe.
